Krämer Scientific Instruments GmbH in Germany was founded in 1990 as a specialised firm involved in providing support and developments for the high technology, high frequency Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (SAM). The company´s direction has been primarily aimed at Research, Non-destructive Testing and the Process Control Industry.

Since 1994, KSI has established business in more than 20 countries. The product lines are high frequency 2000 MHz SAM systems , NDT routine microscopes and high speed automated ultrasonic systems. In only a short time, we have established strong links with numerous large multinational companies like NASA, Aeorospatiale, Philips, Siemens, Matra Marconi, IBM, etc.

PVA TePla AG, Asslar, took over the entire KSI Group, Herborn at October 22, 2007.
